A Supervised Behaviour Therapist implements Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) programs under a clinician’s guidance, focusing on teaching skills (communication, social, life skills) and reducing challenging behaviours for individuals, primarily children, in home, clinic, or school settings, while collecting data, communicating with parents, and working collaboratively within a therapy team

Key Responsibilities

• Program Implementation: Deliver 1:1 therapy, executing specific ABA-based skill acquisition and behaviour reduction plans.
• Data Collection: Accurately record and graph client data on behaviour and skill progress.
• Parent Training: Teach strategies to parents/caregivers and model techniques for generalizing skills.
• Collaboration: Work closely with supervising clinicians, other therapists, and professionals.
• Environment Management: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapy space.
• Behaviour Management: Respond calmly and appropriately to challenging behaviours using trained techniques.
